Meredith also is a motivational and educational speaker. Drawing from her personal story of surviving stage four brain cancer, which was discovered just five weeks after she gave birth to her only child, Meredith speaks frequently to industry and community service organizations on the importance of life, disability and long-term care insurance planning.

Meredith earned a bachelor’s of Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, after attending Rice University in Houston.  Upon graduating from Georgia Tech in 1998, Meredith entered the financial services industry. Active in the community, she is a Leadership North Fulton alumnae, Class of 2005.  Through her work with Junior Achievement, she has taught 12th graders personal finance. She serves on the Board of Directors for Kate’s Club, a non-profit organization empowering children and teens after the loss of a parent or sibling. Her sponsorship helped Kate’s Club receive a $25,000 grant from the New York Life Foundation , one of the Foundation’s largest grants in 2011.

As a life long resident of Georgia, Meredith’s roots are in Atlanta, and she currently resides in Roswell with her son, Erik. For fun, Meredith is an avid triathlete, participating in numerous races around the Southeast. The exercise offsets her love of tracking down good “farm-to-table” food in restaurants around Atlanta.
